How to Conduct a Workplace Investigation

In order to fairly determine workplace disputes or issues, the importance of a balanced, fair and thorough investigation is crucial. Getting the investigation right paves the way to employers reaching a reasonable decision, including in respect of an employee’s grievance/complaint or concerns an employer has regarding an employee’s conduct.

An unfair or biased investigation that lacks detail and proper consideration of the facts can expose an employer to legal risk.

Our session on ‘How to Conduct a Workplace Investigation’ aims to equip businesses with know-how and confidence when conducting an investigation. We will share knowledge and provide guidance on:

– Who should investigate
– What the role of the investigator is
– How to investigate – the how, what, where, when, why
– How to conduct investigation meetings and with who
– How to collate and deliver the findings of the investigation
– The importance of getting it right

The session will be delivered by our expert employment lawyers who will be happy to take and answer any questions you may have on this topic.
