A general election will take place on 4 July 2024 and with this comes a fresh wave of promises and policy commitments with all political parties setting out how they would plan to govern the UK.

Unsurprisingly, changes to employment laws are firmly on the agenda in this election with the Conversative Party having made a number of reforms while in government and the Labour Party having made various suggestions for reform while in opposition.

Employers will need to be aware of what the implications could be if the Conservative Party were to retain power, if the Labour Party were to win this election outright and if either party is reliant on other parties in order to govern.
