Roland Fairlamb
Associate Solicitor
Having completed the Legal Practice Course at Northumbria University, Roland undertook his training contract at a full-service law firm in Durham, qualifying in 2016. Roland initially worked within both the dispute resolution and employment teams, then moved to a large firm in Newcastle in 2018 to specialise in employment law.
Roland has extensive experience in all aspects of employment law. He is a pragmatic lawyer with a commercially-focused and practical approach.
Roland joined Collingwood Legal in April 2024 as an Associate Solicitor.
Experience
Examples of Roland’s experience includes:
- Providing retainer-based and ad-hoc advice on general employment law queries.
- Reviewing and drafting employment contracts.
- Advising both individual and company clients on settlement agreements (including high value settlements).
- Representing clients throughout the course of employment tribunal proceedings.
- Transactional work, including working on high value transactions and providing TUPE advice.
Roland also has a keen interest in data protection work and its role in employment law. He enjoys delivering training sessions and building relationships with clients.
