Peter is a consultant at Collingwood Legal and an accomplished corporate lawyer with over 30 years’ experience advising businesses across the North East and nationally. His career includes senior roles in corporate finance and a period with a boutique venture capital firm, giving him a strong understanding of the investment landscape from both sides of the deal.

Peter advises on the full range of corporate transactions — from start-up and early-stage investment through to flotations and exits — and has delivered hundreds of successful deals for owner-managed businesses, investors, and larger corporates. Known for his pragmatic, collaborative approach, Peter project-manages transactions efficiently and works as an integral part of his clients’ commercial advisory teams.

• Advising on multi-million-pound acquisition and debt funding in the bio-renewable energy and property development sectors.
• Handling institutional buyouts and cross-border transactions for clients in South Africa, the United States, and Asia.
• Acting on a significant number of IPOs.
• Providing company secretarial and administrative support to listed companies, including a group comprising over 50 subsidiaries.
• Drawing on personal experience of running his own business to deliver commercially grounded advice.
